Before the updater can be used the USB driver must be installed and your Alpha-Link devices need to be connected to your computer via USB. Instructions: • Open the Silicon Labs USB Driver.dmg (included in the ALMX 2.0 package); • Launch and follow the instructions of the Silicon Labs VCP Driver Installer (a reboot may be required); • Start the ALMX updater.app; • Connect your Alpha Link MX devices (if not already done so) via USB to your computer and turn the devices ON; • Select the device you wish to update in the device selection list of the main window; • Select Device->Download Driver Flash Msm7227 here. Update Flash from the ALMX updater main menu; • Do not turn OFF or disconnect the device while updating!
(failing to do so may damage your Alpha-Link MX); • If the device has been successfully updated cycle power to load the new firmware; • If there was an error during the update please do NOT turn off the device - try to update the firmware again.
