Yaoi Game Jam is a two month long jam dedicated to making games—visual novels in particular—featuring male-identified characters in queer relationships. Traditionally, the term ' yaoi,' also known as ' boy's love,' refers to female-oriented works from Japan, or works inspired by those works, that feature two or more male characters in a romantic relationship. However, this game jam is open to stories about all kinds of relationships between queer-identified men, from platonic to romantic, and everything in-between! Just like last year, I'll try my best to list the upcoming games of 2017 in terms of Otome and BL, excluding mobile games because there's like a billion of them ready to sneakily release. The world of yaoi and BL games is a niche and shadowy place, rarely accessible to an English-speaking audience. However, underneath the genre cliches and audacious.

November boy I, however, believe that they are. Although BL/Yaoi can be considered its own genre I think it can be otome too. There are a few reasons why I think it can also be considered otome. Firstly the community it's almost entirely female but that's because it's made for a female audience. Shonen-Ai literally translates to boys love and focus more on the relationships of the men and their interactions. They are more innocent. Tun Plus 2009 Serial. Yaoi is yaoi, shounen ai is shounen ai. Otome goes for shoujo. Eroge for hentai. Tadah~ Honestly i find it annoying when i see BL titles among otome, or when people talk about otome and in fact they talk about boys love. I don't like yaoi a lot, thats why i love otome.
And when i expect people to talk about otome and see yaoi im really disappointed because i must search something again and again and I end reading stuff I dont like when I shouldn't even see that:unamused: I wish ppl stop mix the things. Otome is with a g i r l.:cry: its better to use 'visual novel' than 'otome' for every game. Otome has own meaning and it totally doesnt fit BL.
