I visited my Grandma in China this past year, and she randomly just gifts me a Rado watch. It was given to her by my uncle, who apparently got it as a gift from work (He's a pretty high ranking businessman in a company). I'm not sure how long she's had it, since I visit my grandparents pretty much once every 2-3 years I, a 17 year old with no experience in watches, looked at it under light, and I'm saying it's fake. The 'Shiny squares' on the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o clock positions look misaligned and the other time values look like they're made of cheap metal. The inner circle of the watch doesn't seem very shiny either.

My parents though, are hellbent that it's genuine. I have pictures right now, but they're terrible quality since the best camera I have is an iPad: It says on the front half: Rado Bottom front half: jubile Under the 6 o clock: Swiss Made (***I googled how to tell if a Rado is fake, and it said having 'Swiss Made' on the 6 o clock makes it fake, but parents still want more evidence) Back of watch: Rado jubile 120. 3 HIGH-TECH TUNGSTEN SCRATCHPROOF WATERSEALED 769 2277G • • • • •. I also have a fake Rado watch that was gifted to me. It was given to my dad by my cousin in Pakistan. My dad gave it to me, I quickly realized it was fake.
Mine also has the 'Swiss Made'. Pakistan is full of fakes, but China is the Mecca of fakes. Taj Company Quran With Urdu Translation. Anyway, I am pretty good at spotting fakes of Rolexes and Tag Heuers, but I'm not super familiar with Rados. Fortunately, the counterfeiters made it super easy for us. If you google the supposed model number, '120.
3' or '120.0281.3', every single website that pops up is a replica website. It's just a fake bro, sorry.
Yes, it's a very good way to test for authenticity. Serial numbers should be unique. If you google a serial number and the results are unspecific, that's a good sign. If you google a serial number and you get a ton of replica sites, that means the serial number on your watch is on thousands of fake watches.
