Corel Painter X3 is different from Photoshop in that the former’s painting tools are more comprehensive and possesses more features than the latter. I tried my hand with Corel Painter and it really is a handful to learn, almost as challenging as Photoshop.
One of the things I really like with X3 is that I can group the options that are only for the brush that I’m currently using. Because the software’s tools have so many control options, grouping the options for the brush that I’m using just makes my work easier. The application’s user interface is very much similar to Photoshop and the learning curve can be steep, especially for novice users. I was also able to use the palette like a traditional painter would, but with the power and versatility only a software can bring. I discovered that I can apply an almost infinite range of effects on my creations with Corel Painter X3. Overall, Corel Painter X3 is a digital painting software that is worth learning.
